Koko and Jinx brings ‘good finds, warm vibes’ to Jarvis Street

Historic Bridgeburg welcomed its newest small business on Friday as Koko and Jinx held its official ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Town of Fort Erie.

In a Facebook post shared on Monday, the town congratulated the shop on its grand opening, noting that Koko and Jinx “features items from a group of vintage and antique curators, bringing all of their styles under one roof.”

The business, located at 42 Jarvis Street, is operated by Korinne Antaya and Gail Spear. Antaya also serves as vice chair of the Bridgeburg BIA and owns The Fox Shop across the street.

Koko and Jinx describes itself as a curated collective for “decorators, dreamers and troublemakers,” offering vintage and antique pieces sourced by multiple independent curators.

The shop held a soft launch at the beginning of July, announcing on social media that it would be opening quietly with “good finds, warm vibes, and a space we’ve been pouring ourselves into.”

The collective has since continued to grow, and is currently open Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The ribbon cutting adds to a trend of new storefront activity on Jarvis Street as the Bridgeburg district continues its business-sector revitalization efforts through the BIA and town partnerships.
