Extensive Niagara roadwork and maintenance planned for this week

Fort Erie commuters should prepare for plenty of roadwork and maintenance ahead, with multiple projects planned for this week that will impact major routes and lead to potential delays.
- Moving maintenance on westbound East Main Street in Welland between Highway 140/Farr Road and Wellington Street resulting in alternating lane closures until 1 a.m. tomorrow.
- Recurring maintenance on eastbound East Main Street between Wellington Street and Highway 140/Farr Road resulting in alternating lane closures until 1 a.m. on July 30.
- Westbound closures on East Main Street through the Welland Tunnel will occur from July 29 at 9 a.m. until August 1 at 3 p.m.
- Maintenance on northbound Highway 406 near Beaverdams Road has one right lane closed until 6 a.m. tomorrow.
- Recurring moving maintenance on southbound Highway 58 between Pine Street and Thorold Stone Road/Davis Road resulting in alternating lane closures until 6 a.m. on July 30.
- Northbound Highway 58 between Thorold Stone Road/Davis Road and Pine Street will see similar closures until 6 a.m. tomorrow.
- Commuters using Highway 405 can expect delays of up to 15 minutes due to ongoing construction between the QEW and Stanley Avenue until August 31.
- The eastbound ramp to Stanley Avenue will be closed from August 2 to 23.
- Ongoing construction on westbound Highway 405 between Stanley Avenue and the QEW resulting in alternating lane closures until December 20.
- Similar alternating lane closures are affecting eastbound Highway 405 between the QEW and Stanley Avenue until December 20.
- Through to August 9, the eastbound QEW between Seventh Street Louth and Niagara Street is reduced to a single lane with alternating closures from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.
- Recurring maintenance on the Fort Erie bound QEW between Welland Avenue in St. Catharines and the Tourist Information Centre in Niagara-on-the-Lake resulting in alternating lane closures until 5 a.m. on July 30.
- All lanes on the Fort Erie bound off-ramps at Niagara, Lake, and Ontario Streets in St. Catharines are closed until 6 a.m. on August 2.
- Maintenance on the Toronto bound QEW between Victoria Avenue in Lincoln and Bronte Road in Oakville will alternate lane closures from 11 p.m. on July 29 to 5 a.m. on August 2.
- All lanes on both the Toronto and Fort Erie bound off-ramps at Ontario Street in Beamsville will be closed from 11 p.m. on August 6 to 5 a.m. on August 7.
- Grimsby will experience lane closures on all Toronto and Fort Erie bound off-ramps at Bartlett Avenue from 11 p.m. on August 1 to 5 a.m. on August 2.
- Recurring construction on the Toronto bound QEW between Maple Avenue and Casablanca Boulevard resulting in alternating lane closures until July 31, and again from August 6 to 17.
- All lanes on the Toronto and Fort Erie bound off-ramps at Maple Avenue will be closed from 11 p.m. on July 31 to 5 a.m. on August 1.
- All lanes on the Toronto and Fort Erie bound off-ramp at Ontario Street in Grimsby will be closed from 11 p.m. on July 30 to 5 a.m. on July 31.
- Recurring construction on the QEW Fort Erie bound between Casablanca Boulevard and Maple Avenue will alternate lane closures from 7 p.m. on August 1 to 6 a.m. on August 17.
Commuters are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allot extra time for delays.
