UPDATE | Crystal Ridge Arena temporarily closed, says town

October 15, 2024 | UPDATE: In an emailed statement from Cole Patton, junior communications advisor for the Town of Fort Erie, Fort Erie Radio was told that the arena “was temporarily closed due to mechanical failure of one of the plant components.”
Patton added, “Temporary arrangements have been made to keep the facility operational.”
October 9, 2024 | ORIGINAL STORY: The Crystal Ridge Arena has been temporarily closed, according to the Town of Fort Erie.
On social media, the municipality said it is “closed for repairs and not available for use.”
It is unknown how long the arena will remain closed, nor has a reason been offered for the facility being shut down.
Fort Erie Radio has sent questions to communications staff at town hall but did not receive a response prior to publication.
