Critically-acclaimed Eagles tribute band coming to Fort Erie

It will be ‘One of These Nights’ early next year when a critically-acclaimed Eagles tribute band comes to Fort Erie.

Epic Eagles, of which local resident Dean Young is a member, will take the stage at the Meridian Centre for the Arts, located inside Greater Fort Erie Secondary School (GFESS), on February 7.

The band formed in 2019 and has played all over Canada and the U.S., as well as places like Barbados, Young said in an interview with Fort Erie Radio on Tuesday.

He’s excited to perform in front of a hometown crowd, but also to play the state-of-the-art theatre that opened when GFESS did in 2017.

“We’re very fortunate to have that venue here,” said Young, noting it is equipped with all the latest audio and lighting equipment a band could ask for.

“It’s really got everything you need for a professional-level show,” he said.

Epic Eagles is a five-piece band covering the works of the iconic California band, whose songs have many complexities.

Young said it’s a lot of work paying respect to the band they emulate by playing their music properly.

“It’s tough to find the right guys, and it takes a whole lot of rehearsing to get to the level of The Eagles, to keep it true,” he said.

Tickets are on sale now at ticketscene.ca and are $56.50 including tax.

Proceeds from the concert will support music and communications-technology programs at GFESS.
