Build Discounter celebrates grand opening on Helena Street

A new home improvement supply store has officially opened its doors in Fort Erie.

Build Discounter held its grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony February 12 at its new location at 967 Helena Street, according to a Wednesday Facebook post from the Town of Fort Erie.

The business specializes in flooring and renovation supplies, offering products such as hardwood, vinyl and laminate flooring, countertops, kitchen cabinets, vanities, glass hardware, doors, trims and installation materials.

Originally established in Toronto in 2005, Build Discounter says its goal is to provide renovation materials at lower prices by sourcing many products directly from manufacturers and eliminating middleman costs. The company works with contractors, builders and homeowners, and offers contractor pricing for larger projects.

According to the company’s website, the Fort Erie location will serve both do-it-yourself homeowners and industry professionals seeking flooring, kitchen and bathroom materials, tools and related supplies.

The Town of Fort Erie welcomed the business in its social media post, congratulating the owners on the official launch.

Build Discounter’s showroom is now open to the public on Helena Street.
