Boys and Girls Club hosting winter market Friday evening

About 40 vendors will be offering their products at a winter market hosted by the Boys and Girls Club (BGC) of Niagara’s Fort Erie site on Friday evening.

It is the second year for the market and will include arts and crafts, jewellery, candles, books, ornaments, and more, said BGC Niagara community engagement manager Kim Harrold.

Admission is free and an ongoing toy drive will wrap up at the end of the event.

“It’s our way of giving back to the community, especially this time of year,” she said.

BGC Niagara took over the site in 2020 after it was previously operated by the YMCA for many years.

Harrold admitted the winter market is also an opportunity to get new people through the doors who maybe haven’t visited since the transition.

“I think a lot of people don’t realize what we have there,” said Harrold.

The event runs Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.
