Fort Erie hiring for licensing and recreation positions

The Town of Fort Erie is accepting applications for two unionized positions: a casual licensing administrator and a relief recreation employee.
The licensing administrator role will support the Town’s short-term rental and business licensing programs from August 2025 to March 2026.
Duties include processing licence applications, coordinating inspections and maintaining program records. Applicants must have a post-secondary diploma in office administration or a related field and experience with licensing legislation and policy interpretation.
The position offers $29.30 per hour plus 4 per cent vacation pay, based on 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate may also enrol in the OMERS pension plan.
Applications are due by 12 p.m. on Wednesday.
The relief recreation employee position involves facility, arena and parks maintenance on an as-needed basis. Work may include ice resurfacing, minor repairs, groundskeeping and custodial duties.
Candidates must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s licence and one to two years of related experience. Availability for shift work, including weekends and holidays, is required.
The starting rate is $29.30 per hour plus 4 per cent vacation pay, with OMERS eligibility.
