The Town of Fort Erie is beginning work this week on two of three culverts that are scheduled to be replaced.
One project is on Point Abino Road, near Nigh Road, says the town’s website.
To improve drainage and road safety, the culvert on Point Abino Road will be replaced. Point Abino Road will be closed for construction, and detour routes will be available via Garrison Road and Nigh Road.
The project started Monday and will take up to three weeks, the town says.
There is a second culvert replacement taking place on Point Abino Road, also to improve drainage and road safety.
There will also be road closures as a result of this work, which will begin once the first culvert replacement is completed.
A culvert on Switch Road, 485 metres south of Niagara Parkway, is being replaced to improve water flow and road stability.
Switch Road will be closed during construction, with detours available via Townline Road, Netherby Road, and Niagara River Parkway, the town says.
This project also started Monday and will take up to two weeks.
