Ten games into the 2024-25 season, the Fort Erie Jr. B Meteors sit four points out of first place and in a three-way tie for fifth place in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League eastern conference standings.
The black and orange got off to a hot start in the first two games of this year’s contest, outscoring opponents 11-0 with 7-0 and 4-0 shutout wins.
But since then, the Meteors are an even 4-4 in their last eight games and have a record of 6-4.
They have 12 points, as does the Ayr Centennials and their Highway 3 rivals the Port Colborne Sailors.
Leading the conference as of Thursday were the Caledonia Corvairs and the St. Catharines Falcons, both with 16 points.

The Meteors were blanked 2-0 by the Cambridge Redhawks on home ice Wednesday, and will face them again on the road Saturday.
The next home game is Saturday, October 26 when the St. Catharines Falcons pay a visit to the Leisureplex.
Leading the team in scoring is forward Sam Tonelli, who has 15 points–six goals and nine assists–in 10 games played.
Kyle Adamo isn’t far behind with 14 points–six goals and eight assists–also in 10 games.
