Dozens of animals available for adoption at Fort Erie SPCA

There are 23 dogs and 12 cats currently up for adoption at the Fort Erie SPCA.

On the local SPCA’s website, a short profile of each animal is available, explaining their traits and how they behave around other fury friends and humans.

The SPCA explains he is very “sweet” but also notes he had to have his eye removed.

He is one of 10 Walker Hounds who are accepting applications, and is the oldest dog at the Jarvis Street shelter, according to the SPCA’s website.

On the younger side, there are three Husky mixes who would like to be given a new home.

There is Allie, a four-month-old female, as well as Anthony, a four-month-old male.

Ariel, also a Husky mix, is five months old.

“She can get a little nervous in new places but settles in pretty quickly,” the SPCA says about Ariel.

Dogs are $599 to adopt and cats are $275. Puppies are $650 and kittens are $325.

All adoption fees include spay-neuter, core vaccinations, current deworming, and a six-week trial of pet insurance. Adoptions also come with a month’s supply of food.

Rabbits are $175 to adopt and “pocket pets” are $45.

Applications are available at forteriespca.ca.
