Monday was definitely not the day to leave umbrellas at home.
As heavy rains caused flooding in parts of the province, many Fort Erie residents were left to clean up today after a powerful storm drenched the town with powerful winds and hail.
Photos and videos posted to social medial showed hail the crashing down, with some of the hail the size of a quarter.

In the early hours of the afternoon, a power outage swept through parts of Crystal Beach and Ridgeway.
Canadian Niagara Power (CNP), which services over 65,000 customers, stated on X/Twitter that “a (hydro) pole was hit by lightning in Crystal Beach” and repair crews had been dispatched.
It wasn’t until 7:49 p.m. that CNP announced that power was restored to all customers.
