A farmers’ market on Stevensville Road kicks off its 2026 season this Wednesday with its biggest vendor roster yet, giving Fort Erie-area residents a weekly shot at local food and a rare free platform for non-profit groups.
The Stevensville Farmers’ Market opens June 3 at Stevensville Memorial Hall running every Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. until Thanksgiving. Market organizer Ken Jessop said the 2026 season launches with 45 vendors, up from 41 confirmed two weeks ago, bringing a mix of returning sellers and new ones.
COPE and the Brain Injury Association of Fort Erie will occupy the community table on opening day. Jessop said the market is reserving one or two free spots each week for charities, non-profits and community fundraising groups.
Vendors confirmed for the season include Baba’s Kitchen, Grumps Catering, The Pie Guys Bakery, Willow Haven Sourdough Co., Vince’s European Deli, Orbit Foods Gelato, Ravishing Cakes, Dominion Cut Flowers and Bee Happy Beeswax Company, among others.
Jessop said the 2026 lineup carries a stronger emphasis on ready-to-eat food, so shoppers can eat in the adjacent park while they browse.
The Town of Fort Erie holds a vendor spot this season. The Port Colborne Terry Fox Run is also listed among confirmed vendors.
Anyone seeking the free community table can contact Jessop directly through the Stevensville Farmers’ Market Facebook group, which has 3,100 members.
