Like the iconic bus jump scene in ‘Speed,’ FlixBus is accelerating to Fort Erie, bridging a years-long service gap with an explosive first-ever Toronto connection departing from the Leisureplex starting June 1.
The new Flixbus stop at 3 Municipal Centre Drive runs until October 28 with two daily round trips. The route extends FlixBus’s existing Toronto-Niagara Falls service and provides a car-free link to both cities at affordable fares. Rides include Wi-Fi, power outlets and luggage allowance onboard.

Northbound departures leave Fort Erie at 4:25 p.m., arriving at Toronto’s Union Station Bus Terminal at 7:35 p.m. The southbound trip departs Union Station at 1 p.m., pulling into Leisureplex at 3:50 p.m.
Single adult fares vary by date and reservation time, averaging around $29 one-way and $55 return before fees.
FlixBus, a subsidiary of Germany-based Flix SE, is a private intercity bus carrier operating across North America and in more than 40 countries worldwide.
Karina Frayter, head of communications for Flix North America, said in a statement the stop is designed for the wave of summer visitors Fort Erie draws each year, from Toronto beachgoers hitting the Lake Erie shoreline to daily commuters making the Toronto run.
“For the first time, Fort Erie will be directly connected to Toronto as part of our Toronto-Niagara service,” said Frayter. “This seasonal stop gives residents and visitors a simple, affordable way to reach one of the Niagara region’s most popular summer destinations.”
