UPDATE | Missing 64-year-old man in Stevensville ‘located safely’

UPDATE | SEPTEMBER 25, 2025 @ 4:21 A.M. — Niagara Regional Police say that Gary Meissner has been located safely and would to thank the public for their assistance.

ORIGINAL STORY | SEPTEMBER 24, 2025 @ 9:34 P.M. — Niagara Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 64-year-old man who went missing Wednesday afternoon in Stevensville.

Police say Gary Meissner was last seen around 1:30 p.m. on September 24 when he went for a walk in a wooded area near Ott Road and Church Road.

Members of the 5 District detachment in Fort Erie, along with the K-9 Unit, were searching the area late Wednesday and expressed concern for his safety, according to a news release.

Meissner is described as white, six feet tall, with a slender build and grey hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Police said it is unknown whether Meissner left the woods from another location or remains in the area.
