The fun will start at 10 a.m. on June 1, 2024, with festivities including crafters, artisans, exhibitors, merchants from the local community and beyond, as well as food booths and a kids’ zone.

The event is being put together in collaboration between the Stevensville Kinsmen, Kinettes, and volunteer fire department.

Linda Ruffley, co-chair of the planning committee and Kinette member, said she expects more than 40 vendors to be in attendance and plenty for the whole family to enjoy.

“We have a kid zone,” Ruffley said. “We have food. We have different entertainment for the children.”

She said that the money raised through this event will be used for the betterment of the area.

“In the past, we have done Memorial Park by Scuttlebutt’s,” she said. “That is a Kinsmen and Kinette Park.”

Other projects include funding the playgrounds at both the Mini Park on West Main Street and at the United Empire Loyalist Park on Ott Road.

“We also did the splashpad and gazebo behind Stevensville Memorial Hall,” she said. “That was some of the projects the money has gone to.”

More projects will be determined at a date in the near future, said Ruffley.

Springfest is still seeking vendors. Space for the event is $25 and the deadline to apply is April 30.
